- Research and acquisition of national and international projects in the area of Resilience Engineering and Risk Assessment. Development of the strategic subject of resilience engineering of socio-technical systems as regards new technologies and sustainability
- Working on content or methodological contributions in this field; presentation of project results at (inter)national conferences and in scientific publications
- Lecturing in various capacities and in continuing education courses (including Risk Management and Risk Assessment); supervising project, BSc and MSc theses (teaching accounting for up to 20%)
- Project management and specialist supervision of assistants; supervision of degree theses
We are looking for a motivated and communicative team-player who shows great commitment and initiative and who has a university degree with a dissertation in the area of Risk Management, Safety Engineering, Natural Sciences, Engineering Sciences or a related field. You bring knowledge in the area of Resilience Engineering and Risk Assessment and, in addition, you have experience and an excellent track record in industry or at a university. You enjoy passing your knowledge and experience on to students; teaching experience at university level is desirable. Fluent business German and English round off your profile.
You bring the methodological foundations in the above-named areas and you are well versed in writing scientific publications. You have also been involved in the successful acquisition and the conducting of research projects and you have a solid network in research, the public sector and in business. Your ability to think and act in an analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial manner is outstanding. As well as being a pro-active person with sound social competence, you are flexible and independent and you enjoy working on interdisciplinary, demanding, future-oriented issues.
