Beschreibung
Swisscom has been offering services based on mobility data of
mobile customers for some time now. From a legal point of view,
these services are not a problem as long as the mobility data is
anonymized in the first step and then only processed in an
anonymous state. For regulatory reasons, services are more
problematic, in which mobility data is linked to other databases
(e.g. CRM data). To solve these problems, Swisscom has developed an
anonymization platform.
The aim is to receive an external expert opinion, which examines
the effectiveness of this anonymization platform and checks the
effectiveness of the methods used. Specifically, it is a question
of whether the data - anonymized via this platform – have
sufficient low risk of re-identification of persons and thus
fulfills the criteria for being called anonymized.
