Student organisations

All students at the ZHAW are automatically members of the Students’ Association: VSZHAW. The Association represents its members in dealings with authorities, the senior management of the ZHAW, and students’ associations from other institutions.

The VSZHAW deals with all issues relevant to studies at the ZHAW. Topics which affect students are discussed at regular delegates’ meetings, where VSZHAW representatives for the Supervisory Board and the Council of Delegates are also elected. To cover the costs of its activities, the Association levies a contribution from all students each semester.

Students' shop

The VSZHAW Techshop, in the container nr.3 behind the building TL on the technicum-areal in Winterthur (Tel. 058 934 72 85, E-Mail: techshop(at)zhaw.ch) sells study materials and laptop computers (on order) at reasonable prices.

Magazine brainstorm

The Association publishes its magazine 'brainstorm' several times a year. Here ZHAW members can speak their mind freely.
