Bachelor
System based on two main cycles
A Bachelor's degree programme leads to a valuable professional qualification which is relevant to the market’s needs. A Bacholor's degree is also the requirement to enter a Master's degree programme. The normal study duration is three years. 60 ECTS credits must be acquired per year, and completion of the programme with a Bachelor's degree requires 180 ECTS credits. This corresponds to a workload for students of about 1800 hours per year, comprising class instruction and self study.
European Credit Transfer System ECTS
To ensure uniform and comparable assessment, students' performance is rated according to the ECTS system, in addition to grading by marks. After each successfully completed module students are awarded a certain number of ECTS credit points. One ECTS credit is awarded for 30 working hours (self-study and class instruction). 60 credits are expected to be acquired per year of study, i.e. the total study time required for a degree is about 1800 hours per year.
