Description
An employee assistance program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to assist employees in resolving personal or workplace-related problems that may be adversely affecting the employee's performance. Programs are delivered at no cost to employees. Services are delivered via phone, video-based counseling or face-to-face.They help to avoid or reduce personal suffering as well as the financial effects of absences such as costs for substitutions, recruitment, dismissals, loss of production, loss of motivation and loss of reputation.
